Does Costco Sell Folding Outdoor Chairs? What to Know

Yes, Costco offers folding outdoor chairs, although the selection can change by season and may differ between its warehouses and website. You may find folding chairs suited to camping, tailgating, patios, or other outdoor activities, depending on what Costco is carrying at the time.

If you need chairs for a particular event, start your search early and compare the options available online with those at your local warehouse. Consider how many chairs you need, where you’ll use them, and how much space you have to carry and store them.

For camping or trips to the park, consider the chair’s folded dimensions and weight so you can judge whether it will fit comfortably in your vehicle and be manageable to carry. For a patio or backyard, compare the open dimensions with your available space and allow room to move around the chair.

Look at the stated weight capacity and seat height to help determine whether a chair is suitable for the person using it. Frame material, fabric, and the folding mechanism also matter: choose a design that feels comfortable and is practical for the conditions where you plan to use it.

Costco’s assortment is one place to look when you’re furnishing an outdoor space or preparing for a trip, but the best choice depends on how you plan to use the chair. A compact camping chair may be easier to take along, while a larger folding chair may be better suited to a spot where portability is less important.

Before sitting, fully open the chair and make sure its frame is stable on a level surface; avoid exceeding its stated weight capacity. Keep fingers clear of hinges when folding or unfolding it, and inspect the frame and fabric for damage before use.

After an outing, remove dirt and let the chair dry before folding it for storage to help prevent trapped moisture. Follow the manufacturer’s care directions for cleaning and storage, since suitable methods can vary with the frame and fabric materials.
